About us

  • Welcome! St John the Baptist in Benwell Village is a community where all are welcome and many have found friendship and a home. We are well known for our social activities. It is actually the oldest church in Benwell; rebuilt in the 1950s, it began as a mission church and Sunday school in the 1820s.
